Photos from the first three years of the Illumination event Imagine, seeing 23,100 luminaries - each representing a casualty of the battle at Antietam. It's so impressive it brings tears to the eyes. The challenge, photographically, is to capture on a piece of photographic paper, the enormity of the whole thing. It's not possible to show the scope of this event in a single photograph. The Antietam Battlefield covers a large amount of ground and the luminaries cover a 6 mile route.
